Twenty (20) members and guests were present. The meeting was brought to order at 10:00 a.m.  by President Edie Dunlap with the pledge of allegiance.

Presidents Report:  Edie Dunlap,  breezy1@tdstelme.net

  • Brian Bronson was able to amend our grant to give us another $10,000. This will help us pay for the maintenance we have done on the trails this year. The club voted to do a donation of $1,000 in memory of Adrien Brochu for the upkeep of Quill Hill and other work they have done on our trail system. Adrien spent $6,000 just on calcium this year along with putting gravel/shale on part of the ATV trail as well. I think it would be a nice thank you for allowing ATV’s to travel the road to enjoy the spectacular view from the top.
  • We received a random trail audit from AFM but with only 10 sections that received comments and 3 of them were just noted that the problem areas were fixed since the last audit. The other 7 where new areas that they noted that was maintenance done but they wanted additional work done in those areas.
  • Our monthly meetings next year will be April 19, May 17, June 14, July 12, August 9, September 13, October 11 and November 9, 2020.  Hope to see you all.
  • All the officers are staying in for another year.
  • Our final meeting and Christmas gathering Brunch/Lunch was great, with great food and Yankee swap.   Had a blast! Thank You to all who brought great food and lots of fun.

  • Great News – Saddleback will be sold in December to a Boston firm. Good possibility the Moose Trail will become a loop again next year.

  • Our 50/50 raffle each month brought in $179.00 and some members donated it back bringing our total to $316.00 for the year. The club thanks you all for supporting the club.

Trail Master:  Dale Dunlap, breezy2@tdstelme.net

  • We have had to fix a bridge over on Butler Brook Trail where someone had driven on it with a truck and broke through. Fred did a temporary fix until next spring.
  • Also had some issues with ATV’s running up and down some of the gravel piles in Sheridan’s and Wyman’s pits on Gravel Pit Road. We purchased some No Trespassing Signs and rods so they could put them in the piles of gravel/rock and easily move them to other piles when needed.
  • Some of the area’s that AFM were looking at in there random audit of our trails are the section of Carrabassett Trail that Jim Brochu did and have now opened up with some mud holes. That is one place we would need a trailer to haul gravel/rock in. A couple sections of gravel roads that they want us to re-shape with gravel and fabric paper to keep black muck from working its way up to the surface. We will get these areas done in the spring. Our audit from AFM was definitely better than 2 years ago! Thanks to everyone that helped this year, it makes a difference no matter how much or how little it was.
  • Fred and I have started looking for a trailer for the club’s use. It would really help a lot of the trails. A lot of places on the trails we cannot get a truck in to haul gravel or rock for a project. We need something that can haul 3 or 4 yards of material into job sites. We can haul it in with the Kubota and then have the tractor to spread it with. It would be able to haul equipment into the job sites and remove stuff from them as well.

Our first monthly meeting for 2020 is Sunday, April 19, 2020 at the Town Community Hall in Stratton at 10:00 a.m.
