Everyone had a great time at the Tim Pond dinner ride. The riders started in some rain but it soon stopped and the ride was a lot of fun. Our trusted "Trail Ride Leader" Peter Manter and his lovely wife Edie did their usual good job in setting the pace. Our Trail master Dickie rode sweep and there were no problems along the way. The food and atmosphere were wonderful, it is certainly a lovely spot. The ride home went perfectly, guided by a big, beautiful full moon.
For information on our next ride check out "UPCOMING EVENTS".
The Antler Hill trail is now OPEN in both directions. You can access it on the Natanis Trail from the Eustis end of the Airport Rd at the junction of Lone Pine Rd. or from the branch just below the clearcut at Bugeye. The loop is approximately 25 miles long. You may want to enjoy a picnic at the new bridge at the Northwest Inlet. It is no longer necessary to request you ride it in one direction, go either way.
It wouldn`t seem right if we didn`t have a current work project to report. I guess it`s time to mention that we are close to finishing work at Bradbury Brook. This will connect you to Antler Hill and add another 6 miles of trail for you to enjoy. The clearing of this trail has been the most difficult of any we have done in the past. We`re dealing with very thick alders and each day I go out I think it will be the finish. NOT SO! The deer flies are awesome and looking for lunch. However, I firmly believe that one of these days I will get thru, possibly this weekend.( 1st week in August) You will have the option to start your Antler Hill ride here. Keep in mind it`s not a road, it`s a real ATV trail.

The Bradbury Brook section of the Antler Hill trail is now OPEN. It will add another 6 miles to the trail. You will see signs directing you approximately 3 miles from the parking lot on the Natanis Trail. WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS TRAIL UNLESS YOU LIKE ROUGH RIDING! IT IS A REAL ATV TRAIL! HEAR ME PEOPLE! STAY OFF THE KING AND BARTLETT RD.
Plum Creek is working at the Bugeye section of the Natanis Trail and you need to use caution at the construction site. We believe it won`t go on too long.

We do need to remind everyone that the landowners are extending privileges in allowing us to use their properties. Lets all show our appreciation for the generous use of their land by respecting their requests, they are in control and are asking for our cooperation. As always, you are asked to STAY ON MARKED TRAILS and READ and OBEY the signs. Many of our trails have logging operations going on and you can meet trucks at any time. We are in danger of having trails closed because people are not reading and obeying signage. If you want trails to ride we have to work together. Lets make this a safe and fun season for all.
Be sure to check out our newsletters to see our progress. Pictures for
the "08" season will be posted soon
