Trail Closures
Closures: Our Carrabassett Trail is closed until further notice. The Carrabassett Club Trails are closed so there is not connection going anywhere. We do not want our riders driving all the way down our trail just to have to turn back at Route 27. We would hope our riders would not proceed on the other Club’s closed trail as it would just cause issues for them and may prevent any future opening.
The Penobscot Indian Trail on part of our Sawyer Brook Trail is closed as of September 1st for their tribal hunting season.
The rest of the Sawyer Brook Trail itself is closed Monday through Friday at 6:00 pm while Weyerhaeuser is having logging done on the trail. You can access the Trail into Tea Pond from 7 Friday night until Sunday night.

i was just up there last weekend with the wife trails were great again. i did notice that my favorite trail ( swamp rd) was closed. i know the trail is there just no signs going to it. has it been closed for a reason? also im looking to purchase a campground in the area with in the next 3 years.its been a dream of mine for a few years and after a lot of research ( RIDING ) I would like to start my dream in this area. I have looked as far south in Roxbury( silver lake campground) when Jim and mary owned it but timing wasn’t good. if you know of anyone in the area pleas let me know.Thank you
