6.) Trail Master: Dick Smith Dooer@tds.net

Well here we are a new year and getting ready to roll! Last fall after the October meeting the trail work I did was to jack up part of the Pines Boardwalk and open up the Carrabassett trail.  I ran the excavator down the power-line and dressed it up quite a bit, also dressed up and partially drained the Natanis trail out of the campground, and also cleaned up the Sawyer Brook Trail.  This year I have asked AFM and Plum Creek for a new 6 mile loop and also asked Wagner for a new approximately 20 mile loop.  I am still waiting to hear back from them.  I am happy to say that Carrabassett is starting an ATV club.  I have been to two of their meetings.  Their goal is to build a steel bridge across the Carrabassett river.  They have already started the engineering and have $12,000 toward the grant.
