Presidents Report:  Edie Dunlap, breezy1@tdstelme.net

We did receive our first request for reimbursement from the state for our Municipal Grant and the total was $36,818.15. We will be working on the second request this week.

We had a small turn out for our ride to the Red Onion Restaurant in Rangeley. We still had a good ride and great company. The dates for our next club rides are Saturday August 19th to Tim Pond and Saturday September 30th for a cookout at Natanis Campground. We will be having Chicken Stew with biscuits at Tim Pond and Hamburgers/Hotdogs at Natanis. I do need a count of people that attending the ride into Tim Pond. You can call me at 207-431-0922, e-mail (breezy1@tdstelme.net) or message me if you plan on attending. The number I give them will be what we have to pay them for so please be there if you sign up. The price will be $15.00 per person. It is also a rain or shine ride and if you want to drive instead of ride you can do that as well. We will be leaving the Eustis Park’ n’ Ride on Caldwell Road at 9:30.

Trail Master’s Report: Dale Dunlap, breezy1@tdstelme.net

Fred has been busy working on the bypass trail that goes between the trail to Tea Pond and the Sawyer Brook Road. There is no place to drain water so he has had to build places up to get rid of the water. He also finished pulling alders on the Elephant Trail.

Dale, Chris and Fred have been working to put rocks on the very wet part of the trail that goes from Sawyer Brook Road up to the Indian Land to help it dry out some.

Dale and Edie installed 2 gates, one on each end of the Indian Land. They will be closed and locked on September 1st until next spring. This was done at the request of the tribe to help keep vehicles/atv’s off the land during their moose hunt.

The Indian trail itself had grown in with alders so we hired a contractor to go in and cut the sides back. It is a lot wider now.

With all this rain it has been hard on the trails and also hard on the crew to keep up with the continuous washouts.

The logging crew is almost done on the North side of Brochu Bridge, just finishing hauling out the logs. They have moved the equipment onto the South side of the bridge and the road is becoming very very muddy. Please use caution and if you can avoid that section Monday – Friday during the work day please do.

All the rental equipment has been returned.

Nancy Charest won the door prize and Joyce Hamilton won the 50/50 which she donated back to the club. Thank you Joyce.

Meeting adjourned at 10:50 am.                                                            .

Our next meeting will be on September 10th. Our meeting will be at 10:00 am at the Stratton Community Building.
