  • The re-route by Antler Hill on Wind Tower Trail is done. The section of trail from Butler Brook to the re-route has been trimmed, brushed and signed with the exception of the last 300 yards. Chris Currier and helpers plan on finishing that up after today’s meeting. Fred and I have been working our way up Antler Hill doing water bars, ditching and re-setting or replacing culverts that need to be done. Once we get to the turn off through the rocky, wet and muddy section we will be working on trimming, drainage and removing rocks. Hoping to rent a small excavator from Bob Cat Rentals in New Hampshire which will make that job a lot easier and quicker than what the two kubota’s can do. Working on getting that done and being able to open the trail up to the lookout road in the next few weeks. Weyerhauser has not let us open up that section until they are finished removing their wood that was cut.
  • A bridge on the Split Rock Trail was re-decked.
  • A section of the Eustis Trail from Gravel Pit Road to Caldwell Road with deep holes was filled with 6 loads of gravel and culvert installed.
  • Canyon Trail is now open 7 days a week. Wagner left the trail in great shape. It has been re-signed and we will be working on the lower end of Canyon Trail with drainage and rock removal. Signs on Swamp Trail have been taken down and closed signs have been installed.
  • We will be fixing some culverts and a wash-out by a bridge on the Carrabassett Trail
  • Club motion and carried on having Welcome signs made to Flagstaff ATV Trail System and a phone number, at Carrabassett Trail on Route 27, Rangeley and Natanis entrances of our trail system.

Our next monthly meeting is Sunday, September 8th at the Town Community Hall in Stratton at 10:00 a.m
