Flagstaff Area ATV Club Minutes – September 8, 2024

8 members were present. The meeting was brought to order at 10:00 a.m. by President Edie Dunlap with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Presidents Report:  Edie Dunlap, breezy1@tdstelme.net

Our end-of-year cook out at Natanis will be the last Saturday in September, which is the 28th. We will be providing the hamburgers/hotdogs, with the club members attending bringing dishes to share as well as their own drinks. We will start cooking around 11:00. If you could let me know if you are attending it would make it easier for buying what we need.

We had a nice day for our ride to Tim Pond and as always the food was good.  Will look forward to next year!

Our last reimbursement request will be sent Monday. We should get around $23,000 back.

I used the figures from our grant requests this year to compare our hours to last year. We got an award the first of the year from ATV Maine for the club having the most volunteer hours last year (791.5) this year we had 1016. Fred had the most individual volunteer hours from any clubs at 439. This year he has accumulated 543.5 hours. They had a very busy summer and hope we can all enjoy some quiet time now.

Trail Master’s Report: Dale Dunlap, breezy1@tdstelme.net

Fred took the Excavator back and we are now done working on the trails unless an emergency repair comes up somewhere.

The only thing we have left now is the new East/West Trail from Brochu Bridge trail to Canyon trail which is being done now by Thorndike. Mike has finished one side to the brook and will do the other side to the brook next week. The bridge will go in next spring. The trail needs to be closed until spring to set up in the wet spots.

Meeting adjourned at 11:00 am.

Our next meeting will be on October 13th 2024, at 10:00 am at the Stratton Community Building.
