Presidents Report: Edie Dunlap, breezy1@tdstelme.net
Welcome old and new members.
The Red Onion restaurant has been sold and will not be open until the new owners get permits etc. We will not have a club ride this month. We do have a date for our ride and lunch into Tim Pond, it will be August 24th, and our end of the year cook out at Natanis will be the last Saturday in September which is the 28th.
Family Fun Days will be the first weekend in August and we will be having our booth with Strawberry Shortcakes and water. If anyone can volunteer to help at the table on August 3rd please let Edie Dunlap know.
Gloria and Edie were going to sign the new trail through the Indian Land to Snow Mountain to open up that section of the trail. Unfortunately the last storm took a main bridge out on their road we use, so that will be on hold until it is fixed. They have also spent a couple more days looking for the best access to hook on to the existing trail at Natanis. Going to get together with a logging company to find where they have logged on the upper part. They have also rode our old trail and it is all doable with a few sections needing a little TLC but not major damage.
It was voted on for the club to buy 2 picnic tables to put into the Gazebo that is being built by a landowner on Canyon Trail for riders to use for picnics. It has been logged across the road and the view is beautiful.

The work has been done behind Flagstaff General on the trail going to Spillover and on the other side of the Iron Bridge. Instead of having to re-fix every year we have installed filter paper and used rocks so hopefully we will not have to keep doing it.
The section from Route 16 (by the transfer station) back towards Stratton has also had a culvert, filter paper and rocks installed to give that a chance to get dried out.
The south and north side of Brochu Bridge has been gone over with the excavator and a little work done on the ledge side to hopefully make it a little easier there. Access to the river has been blocked by rocks to keep the ATV’s out of the river.
Sawyer Brook by pass has been done with filter paper and rocks and built up to help the drying out of that section.
The trac loader (skid steer) was used for 2 weeks to move all the rock and has been returned to Bobcat. We still have the excavator for a couple of weeks.
We will be fixing the washout up on Tim Pass near where the road comes out on Tim Pond Road. There are also 5 culverts that need to be replaced on the road headed up to the pass which we plan on getting done next week.
After that hopefully it will just be maintenance on a few of the trails left.
The 50/50 was won by Steve Durost who donated it back to the club. Door Prize was won by Debbie Currier.
