President's Notes
The meeting was called to order at 10:00am and Don thanked everyone for coming.  Don reminded everyone about the Toys for Tots ride on September 29, 2007.  A motion was made and passed to donate $100.00 to the Toys for Tots event.  Last year the club met all year round. This year a motion was made and passed to go back to the March - October schedule of previous years. In regard to town and state roads, the club is not allowed to post signage here in regard to access.  We can post informational signage only.  The town and state have to sign their own roads.  There is a new business in town.  Kerns in Eustis Village has been bought.  Next years member application will give choice to all members to receive a newsletter by post or access it online monthly. Don spoke to the president of ATV Maine about the club getting money back from the registration process.  ATV Maine will investigate this next season. In regard to the safety course that we have been trying to schedule, we have not heard back from Rick Rogers.  He is very busy this time of year with hunting and safety courses.  We will still try to pursue a date and get back to you all at the next meeting.  Please remember that elections are next month (October) and anyone interested should toss their hat in the ring.  It looks as if Don will remain our President if not challenged by another person wanting to serve. Our Secretary position will be open. We received a notice from the Department of Conservation in regard to the hearings on wind power that will be taking place at Sugar loaf Conference Center.  These hearings will be October 2,3, and 4th, 2007.  The club also received a letter from the Penobscott Nation letting us know that the trails at Alder Stream are closed as of September 1, 2007.  The club has posted that.

Treasurer's Report
The club received a donation of $150.00 from Randall Erskine to go toward the Sportsman Show, many thanks to Randall.  Bob went through the numbers and a motion was made and passed to accept the report.

Chairperson's Report
We presently have 271 members of which 24 are businesses.  Ruthanne does have calendars for sale from ATV Maine.  They are $10.00 each and you have the chance to win $250.00 - $500.00 each day through the month of December.  To purchase a calendar, call or e-mail Ruthanne at 207-246-3201 or dooer@tds.net.  There was a motion made and passed to purchase a calendar for the club.

Trail Master's Report
Dick started by saying we are having people ride off the trails.  When you do that you are trespassing on private land.  Everything is off limits except the posted legal trails.  You cannot ride anywhere you want as the snowmobilers do. THE SNOW TRAILS ARE NOT NECESSARILY OUR TRAILS. Our trails are marked.  Please stay on the marked trails.  If you ride to a place that says NO ATV's you are risking that landowner shutting off our access through his land to our trails.   On August 13th, Dick took stock to Tim Pond Road Bridge and started a boardwalk.  On August 15th, Dick went to the LURC Office in Rangeley for a bridge permit for 3rd Leg Bridge (did not need one).  Don and Dick worked on the Tim Pond Road Boardwalk.  On August 16th, Dick brushed out the trail to the 3rd leg of Carrabassett Valley Trail Bridge.  The state DOT Department called and was looking for a bridge to practice on.  We were not their final selection.  On August 18th, Don, Marianne, Ruthanne and Dick went to the ATV Maine meeting in Cambridge.  The meeting was very informative.  On August 21st Don and Dick put ramps on the 15' bridge on the 2nd leg of the CV Trail.  On August 23rd, Don and Dick fixed a low spot on the Pines Boardwalk.  On August 24th, Dick hauled some rocks into the 1st leg of the CV Trail to fill in between the big rocks.  On August 29th, Don, Bob Smith and Dick picked up our lumber and finished the 175' boardwalk on Tim Pond Road.  They also fixed another low spot on Pines Boardwalk.  On August 30th, Neal Blaney and Dick took telephone poles and abutments to the 3rd leg bridge and cleared the trail.  On September 1st, Don, Neal and Dick hauled stock down to the 3rd leg of CV Trail Bridge site.  On September 3rd, Neal and Dick delivered the rest of the stock to the 3rd leg bridge site.  On September 7th, Dick got a letter from the Penobscott Nation about the trails closing on September 1st and he put up the closed signs at all trails leading into Alder Stream.  On September 8th, Don, Ray, Pete, Phil, Lee and Dick finished building the 60' bridge on the 3rd leg of CV Trail and Don and Dick put up more closed signs for Alder Stream.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:10am.
There were 20 members present.
