President's Notes
The meeting came to order at 10:05am.  Ray said there was a good turnout at the Toy Ride, 330 machines.  The club was well represented. Some of the prizes and winners were as follows:
One individual won $530.00 on the 50/50 raffle, Bob won a Gift Certificate, Ray won a gas can, and Lee won a hat and gift certificate.
The New Sharon Area Riders are having a party this Saturday, 10/14/06 to celebrate opening their suspension bridge.  The ride starts at 11:00am (rain or shine) and there will be an awesome BBQ.  For more information contact Jim at 779-0525 or Matt at 778-6476.  In regard to the ATV Maine Calendar Raffle, call Ruthanne at 246-3201.  The calendars cost $10.00 each and you have the chance to win $1,000.  Members present voted that the club should buy one and take a chance.

Treasurer's Notes
Bob reported that the Toy Run and ATV Maine are paid.  Bob gave a balance and the club moved to accept Bob's report.  If you would like more detail about the Treasurer's Report you can call or e-mail Bob Dennett

Membership Chair's Notes
Ruthanne reported the club presently has 294 members.  Ruthanne also notified the Irregular that we are meeting all year long, same place and time until December which is the Stratton Community Center the second Sunday of each month.  Should that change we will let our members know.

Trail Master's Notes
September 12th Dick had a short meeting with Dick Scott and planned a walk of the Antler Hill Trail.  September 15th we had the club ride to Rangeley with 9 quads and 15 members.  The ride was a 62mile loop and went well.  On September 18th Dick Scott and Dick walked the Antler Hill Trail and made a few minor changes in the trail route.  Dick collected cribbing for corduroy board walks and bridges, (you may notice that the log pile on the Salt Shed Road is gone).  September 20th Dick collected more cribbing and Ruthanne, Maryanne and Dick's two grandsons (Richie and Brandon) spread wood chips on the Pines Trail.  September 21st Dick collected more cribbing and Ruthanne and He put a ramp on the Kennebago Bridge.  September 22nd Dick met with Dick Scott again and he went out and flagged an alternate route connector to the Airport Road and Antler Hill Trail.  September 26th Dick picked up and delivered cribbing to the Rangeley Trail and also to Bugeye.  September 27th Ruthanne and Dick trailered out the rest of cribbing needed and ¼ of the planking and laid the rest of the cribbing and the outside row of planking.  October 1st Ruthanne and Dick took out the rest of the planking and finished the Bone yard Boardwalk.  October 2nd Ruthanne and Dick picked up two 10 x 10 beams for Perry Road but did not use them. Randall repaired the trail and culvert on Perry Road and the approach to Campbell Road.  October 4th Ruthanne and Dick rode the Rangeley Trail and put up signs for the boardwalk option.  On the Black Nubble Loop there is a logging operation on the far end toward Quill Hill and the wind farm is working with a helicopter out of the Shale Pit. They came around to the Kennebago Settlement Road to the bridge only to find that hunters had cut up the ramp to get down across the bridge.  They cut up a 12" Poplar tree that fell across the trail at Brochu Bridge, (some poor soul had hacked his way through with a dull hatchet).  October 6th Randall and Dick talked with Dick Scott about getting 3 used culverts to repair the Road behind the dump.  Ruthanne and Dick picked them up. Randall took the tractor out and started fixing up the mud holes between Brochu Bridge and the IP Road. Remember that the trails will close either November 30th or the first groomable snow, whichever comes first.
Bugeye to Natanis will close on October 13th due to construction.
The club would like to send our sympathy to the Toothaker Family.
David Toothaker just recently lost his father Glen Toothaker.  David and his father were President and Trail Master of our club (respectively) in the early years.

The first meeting of the Snowmobile Club is Friday, October 13, 2006 at 5:00pm at the Stratton Plaza.  We would like to see our members join and show our support for the Snowmobile Club.

There were 12 members present for the meeting, which adjourned at 11:05am.
