1.) Meeting brought to order at 10AM by President Don Plante damp@tds.net

2.) Presidents Report:  Don Plante

  • Opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance
  • 20 members present
  • Thank you from Millie Howard, the kids of the Rec. Dept. really enjoyed their ATV ride.  A big thank you for your donation to help us go rafting.
  • Sept. 18th Appreciation Picnic – All are wellcome to attend.  Site#2 Cathedral Pines 11AM.
  • Club Ride October 2nd to Tim Pond Camps $12.oo for lunch.  Rain or Shine We will leave from the big parking lot near Pines Market at 9AM.  Call Don Plante if you plan to attend 246-5946
  • Sept. 25th Toys for Tots Ride- Meet at McDonalds in Jay 7:30 or at Whistle Stop in Farmington 9AM.  Ride goes to Canton.  Motion made and carried to donate $150.oo to this charity
  • ATV insurance on the equipment $345.00 Paid
  • ATV Maine does now have an insurance policy for the clubs.  Motion made and carried to get the insurance
  • Pine Tree Sportman Show will be held at the Armory in Waterville March 18th, 18, 20th  $295.00 for a booth.  Barry Crafts will donate a pig roast to raffle.
  • Final Meeeting Oct 10th officers election.  If anyone is interested in these positions please bring your name to Don.

  • New Black Moose Franklin Co. ATV loop – Motion made and carried to have an ad on the map

Treasurers Report  Bob Dennett rdennett@maine.rr.com

  • The grant has not been applied for yet.  So this money will be coming in
  • All bills are currently paid and we will be in good shape to end the year in the black!!!

Membership Secretary Ruthanne Smith Dooer@tds.net

  • 235 paid members
  • Our fundraiser at Eclectic Treasures will continue into mid October.  I want to thank everyone that has donated or purchased items to benefit our cause.  This past week I put an article in the Irregular to encourage people to come in and brouse

Trailmaster Report  Dick Smith Dooer@tds.net

  • August 9th I went to Mexico for a best management practices workshop
  • August 10th I rocked the muddy spotts at Northwest inlet on the Antler Hill Trail
  • August 11th I spread gravel on the Pines Trail
  • August 13,14,15,16,17,18 I spread rock and gravel on the Eustis Trail
  • August 26th I repaired 2 broken planks on the Pines Trail
  • August 27th I went to Carrabassett and pulled rocks and made waterbars on the Kingfield part of their trail
  • August 30 and 31st I spread rocks and gravel on the Eustis Trail
  • September 1st I fixed broken planks on 3 box culverts
  • September 2nd I pulled rocks and did waterbars on the Eustis Trail
  • September 3rd and 4th Neal and I went to Indian Stream to get a GPS reading on that end of Delaware Gap, its a little over 2 miles thru it
  • September 7th I pulled rocks and put in waterbars on teh Eustis Trail
  • September 8th I pulled rocks and put in waterbars on the Brochu Trail and dug a pit to prevent the outlaws from riding in the river
  • September 9th I pulled rocks and put in waterbars on teh Salt Shed Road
  • September 10th I went to the SFT side of Brochu bridge taril and pulled rock adn put in waterbars
  • At this time I need to mention that our trails close at the first Groomable snow with two exceptions.  Alder Stream which includes part of the Sawyer Brook Loop will be closing Sept.15th and the Natanis Trail will be closing October 31
  • September 11th signed and numbered intersections, repaiered broken planks on Pine Trail
