  • At this time we have 160 paid members. I want to thank all those loyal
members that have rejoined so far this season. There is a lot of repairs
to pay for this year and the bulk of our money come from memberships.
I`m now working on items left for donation to be sold at the Eclectic
Treasures on Main St in Stratton. This is another way to add a little
cash to the club account. I do need to remind people that I cannot work
with chipped, cracked or damaged articles. If the items are clean it is
a wonderful bonus for me. As in the past you may drop off items at the
White Wolf in Stratton or call me at my number listed above.

6.)TrailmasterReport: Dick Smith dooer@roadrunner.com

  • March 16th   I put up the mud season signs.
March 24th   I closed the North Branch and Brochu Bridges.
March 30th   I went to Kingfield for a Moose Loop meeting.
The Penobscott Nation has turned down our request to reopen the Snow Mtn
    Loop.
April 13th   I took the excavator to the Cathedral Pines trail and moved
the post over to 62″ and put in another post, filled holes and cut
    downed trees.
April 14th   I took the excavator to the Pines trail and cut and hauled
cribbing in preparation of work days for the next 2 weeks.
I have ordered a lift of lumber, I expect to pick it up on Monday.
Anyone willing to help with the boardwalk repairs will be appreciated.
You will need boots and a hammer. Our longest boardwalk is 1000′ long
and when that is finished the Senior one has to be redone and widened.
The woods are dry and the mud is not too bad. Everyone is anxious for
our season to open. LETS GET THIS JOB DONE!
Anyone wanting to work can call:   Don  246-5946   damp@tds.net   OR
